I decided that i needed to have a place where I can document whats going on with my family, and also to have place that I can focus my thoughts and lay them down to see. Life has a funny way of making you realize that there is no way to plan for anything. It is constantly changing, and not always in a good way, but not always bad either. Through the last 2 years of my life, I have come to a point that I can not take one single day for granted. It is far to precious of a thing. My youngest daughter Caydence has gone through so many things in her short little life, and I continue to be amazed by her every single day. She just recently started walking all by herself. That alone is something that I didn't think would ever happen between all the hospital stays, constantly being sick, and the oxygen tubing that seems to get in her way whatever we do. But sure enough with lots of determination and a great physical therapist she is finally doing what we at one point thought was the impossible for her. I am thankful each and every day that we have that day to spend with each other.
My oldest daughter Bailey is just about to be done with her first year of school ever. She is such a smart and loving child. She grabs a hold of each moment and makes the best out of it. I'm so proud of her. I know that when children first start school they are always excited about going, and Bailey is just like that. She wakes up in the morning and is the first one ready to go, and always wants to get there early. I love that fact that she likes going to school. Even though there have been some problems with kids picking on her, she still loves it! It's great.
Blaine is mister personality himself. He completely cracks me up. 2 summers ago Chad had given both boys Mohawks. Blaine looked absolutely adorable with it and since then has been trying to talk us into getting another one. The other day my step dad took him and got him a mohawk again. It is to stinking cute. And it oh so matches his onry little personality. You know that saying that boys will be boys, well it's true. Blaine is definately all boy without one once of fear in him. A couple months ago we were at the mall and Chad took the boys to the play center in there while i was getting my nails done and there is this big treasure chest that the kids can play on. Chad had repeatedly told Blaine not to jump off of it because he could get hurt, well Blaine being Blaine decided that he was going to jump off any way and ended up breaking his leg. Poor guy. Then after he jumped off he actually ended up walking on it for a few minutes, so at first we thought he just twisted his leg. He is my little trooper!
Ely is my shy caring sweet little boy. I am so afraid that through this whole custody battle that we are going to actually end up losing him to his mother. He has been with me for the last 3 years, and in that time I have come to love him just as if he was one of my own flesh and blood. I am optimistic at the same time that things will turn out ok. It seems to be going pretty good with him going to his mother's house every other weekend. He may not want to go at first (being as he is a HUGE daddy's boy) but once he's there he has lots of fun. I am glad that he is getting an opportunity to spend time with her too. I think that both of them need to have that. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it has been on her that last couple years not being able to have her child with her each and every day.
